As earlier notified, the Tamil Nadu Government to conduct 10th examinations from 1st of June to 12th of June 2020.
The Joint Action Council of Tamil Nadu Teachers Organisations and Government Employees Organisations shortly known as JACTTO-GEO, has appealed to the Government to postponed the examinations scheduled for the month June 2020. The announcement by the Government has come as a shock to thousands of teachers and students. The scheduling of the examinations by the School Education Department was condemned by the teachers organisations especially when there was no decisions taken by the Central and State Governments on extension of the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. JACTTO-GEO said the situation was not conducive for students to study and write the examinations. The final Plus Two examinations involving 35,000 students was not conducted due to the basic reason being the state comes under lockdown. JACTTO-GEO expects lockdown to get lifted and spread of coronavirus under control so that students have conducive atmosphere to study, prepare and write examinations with comfort, ease and no mental tension.
Let's hope the government and the teachers organisations come to a mutually acceptable solution soon so that the students can face the examinations without any troubles.
