The cases in Russia has increased manifold and overtook France and Germany after recording daily rise of disease, as per statements issued by Moscow's mayor. The tally of cases surged over 1.77 lacs, registering more number of cases than Germany and France. This is because of new cases jumped to over 11,000 in 24 hours time. More than half the cases and deaths are in Moscow, which is the epicentre of coronavirus pandemic. Moscow Mayor has informed that the real number of cases are over 3,00,000 in the capital of Russia. Moscow's health department has said that the late stage testing have produced false negative results. According to Mr Sobyanin, a close ally to the President Mr Vladimir Putin has said the number of cases are more due to the fact that the testing activity is doubled. Russia confirms that over 4.8 million tests have taken place. Lot of sick people have been tested which only indicates plus level and not minus in any way. Even though the cases are increasing, the number of patients admitted into the hospital is under control, which is certainly an encouraging sign.
