The unexpected problems and the resultant financial burdens faced on account of COVID-19, the Cancer Institute located in Adyar, Chennai face huge financial crunch and came out openly for help by way of donations to continue to perform humanitarian service.

There was big challenge for the institute in managing funds due to outbreak of pandemic.  The shortages were also by means of personal protective equipments for frontline workers such as doctors, nurses and sanitary workers.

The Chairperson of the Institute Ms Shanta has been providing all needed for its staff members numbering more than a thousand involved in testing of all patients for COVID-19.  The institute needs funds to treat underprivileged patients, provide drugs and to meet other expenses including staff remuneration.  The funds are needed till such time the normalcy returns.
