TASMAC - WOES FOR WOMEN

There was a protest from a group of women when a TASMAC shop was opened in Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu, India. 

The women snatched the umbrellas of men standing in queue and asked them to go away.  The police came to the spot, removed the women and allowed the TASMAC shop to function.  The women were angry because people from most-affected area of coronavirus are coming to these shops for purchase of liquor, which increases the risk of spreading the disease.

The women numbering more than 50 were courted arrest who protested against the opening of a shop in Padur, Chingleput District, Tamil Nadu, India very recently.  The women retorted as the area was very peaceful when the shops were closed and of the view that shops should not be opened to maintain peace. 

The arrested women were let later.
