COVID-19 - SOUTH INDIA REELING UNDER CASES AND DEATHS


Coronavirus cases shooting up heavily in the past 24 hours along with deaths.  The Andhra Pradesh state registered two deaths and 105 cases, Kerala registered 57 new cases, Telengana with 94 cases and Karnataka with 187 new cases.

Another two deaths reported in Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh.  More than 10,000 sampes were tested in the past 24 hours and the total positive cases gone upto 3676.  With 105 fresh cases, 76 are local, 28 are migrants and one returned from abroad.  Spurt in Kerala going steady with more than fifty persons tested positive on 1st June.  Bulk of the cases are detected who returned to Kerala from other states, one employee each of Health Care and Air India reported positive.  The Air India cluster touches to ten positivities.  As per Mr Pinayari Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala, more than 200 keralities died abroad due to coronavirus and nine persons died on 1st June.

Karnataka witnessed 297 positive cases in a single day, 187 new cases and one death, 117 cases are interstate within the new cases.  In Karnataka, a 90 year old person died after developing multi-organ failure.  Raichur reported 83 cases, Udipi reported 73 cases, out of which 33 returned from Maharashtra.  Bengaluru urban witnessed second highest with 28 new cases covering 3 policemen.

Telengana nearing 3000 cases with nearly 100 people tested positive for coronavirus on 1st June.  Six people reported died.

Eagerly expect the coronavirus to end soon.
