CUT STAFF - MSMEs



Based on a survey made by the All India Manufacturers Organisation, more than 70% MSMEs are planning to reduce head count in their organisations.  The organisation received voluminous response from MSMEs, corporate CEOs, self employed, individuals and others.  The major survey respondents are MSMEs which accounts to 49% while 7% by corporate CEOs.  A certain headcount is on the cards to be back on track as far as MSMEs which figures 72% and corporate CEOs which figures 42%.  The continuation of business without cutting headcount lie with only less than 20% of all categories as per information pointed out by Mr K E Raghunathan, immediate past president of All India Manufacturers Association.

The people are working out number of labourers will return to work and the employee strength required to remain in business will be clearly known by the end August 2020.  Major efforts are to be put in, during unlocking period, will be to anticipate demand, collect outstandings, raw materials and of course the salary issues.
