About 180 Indian nationals hailing from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karnataka have reached Coimbatore by a repatriation flight from Dubai at the early hours on 3rd June.  As per the information provided by the Airport Director Mr R Ramalingam, the group includes 160 adults, 17 childred and three kids.  Swab samples from all lifted on arrival.  Results awaited at the Health Department.

The team includes 20 pregnant women and good amount of passengers wearing full covers and protective gears.  13 pregnant women have left for their homes rejecting hotel arrangement for paid institutional quarantine offered by the Health Department.  Other 7 pregnant women selected to stay at different hotels, by choosing convenient tariffs.

Some people are unhappy with quarantine at hotels on paid basis and went to the extent of arguments.  If tests found negative, after 7 days quarantine, passengers should go for another 7 days home quarantine.
