HOTELS OPENED - GOOD NEWS?


Under the present lockdown rules and regulations prevalent almost all over India, except for essentials such as shops involving sales of grocery/vegetables/fruits, medical shops none of the other establishments unable to fulfill people requirement in a continuous way.  While such is the case, surprisingly, the Chamarajanagar district administration at Mysuru has given the green signal for opening of tourist places.
It has since cancelled the earlier order issued in restricting hotels, resorts and homestays from inviting reservations.

The place has well renowned Bandipur National Park apart from Tiger Reserve Forest and Wildlife Sanctuary, attracting tourists from various parts of the country.  It will not be out of place to mention about the Male Mahadeshwara Temple also attracting pilgrims.

The safari will be run only with 50% capacity.  The Deputy Commissioner was categorical about the Sunday lockdown barring which services on other days would proceed.  This will greatly help in kickstarting the economy in the district much to the cheers of the people.

After the relaxation of some rules during the month of June, tourists throng these spots as if the normalcy restored.  As a result, restrictions are imposed again fearing surge in COVID-19 pandemic.  Protecting the economy play a key role measures such a social distancing were very much in place.
The prolonged lockdown in tourist places are not considered as infected cases are very much under control.
