MAHARASHTRA ON PEAK

The spread of coronavirus in India continue to be very high and uncontrollable.  This was happening even when health workers are seriously involved in testing patients, treating, isolating and quarantine wherever needed.  With specific reference to Maharashtra, the registration of cases has crossed three lakhs.  A single day figure is 8,348 cases and 144 deaths.  Presently active cases are over 1.25 lakhs.

Maharashtra now records more than 50% recovery and 3.85% of mortality rate.  Mumbai city registers more than one lakh cases.  A single day death was 65.  Pune is in the race by recording 1,589 cases a day and 642 cases are from Pimpri Chinchwad.  The cases are as hgih as 17,640 at Kalyan Dombivali in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, recording nearly two lakhs of total cases.  The death toll has gone upto 8,071.  In other places such as Nashik and Aurangabad, the cases are high and treatments are on warfooting basis.

In Maharashtra, the spread of infection is continuously high in comparison to other states throwing the normal life in the air.

Let us hope for the normalcy to return soon.
