There is a new Grandmaster - title No. 66 to Akash based in Chennai after achieving the required ratings. He is just 23 years old. He successfully came across through many hurdles in participating in championships such as with Aan Zee of Netherlands, Copenhagen of Denmark, Prague and Liberec of Czech and National Senior in Sikkim.
The remarkable feet was achieved in Bad Worishofen in March. Being an Engineering Graduate and under the coachings by Visweswaran, Akash planning to put in all his concentrations in the chess and make serious focus in achieving valid ratings to climb up the ladder.
