RECORD IN DISCHARGE


Coronavirus continue to affect the nation by way of increase in cases being registered all over India.  But as per the records, the death rate gradually goes down, which also accounts lower death rate in the world.

As as far the recovery is concerned, it continues to be on the increase for successive four days, amounting to more than 30,000 patients per day.  The total recovery crosses nine lakhs and now stands at 9,17,567 patients with recovery rate as 64%.

All active cases are given good medical attention in hospitals and other recovery centres.  The focussed efforts on early detection and isolation by severe testing and clinical management of hospitalised cases gave good result in falling fatality rate and growing recovery rate.  Under the scheme launched by the Central Government, based on the data released by the Ministry during the COVID-19 pandemic nearly 3.83 lakhs individuals tested for hypertension, 3.14 lakhs for diabetes, 1.15 lakhs for oral cancer, 45,000 for breast cancer and 36,000 for cervical cancer.  Under the wellness scheme, screening was done for non-communicable diseases considering the population.  This has helped state health authorities to list who are with chronic diseases -  co-morbid population protecting them from inflicted by coronavirus on priority basis.  During the 3rd week of July 2020, more than 40 lakhs people benefited through the scheme launched by the Ministry.

Under the scheme which started in April 2018, the total footfall  among Health Wellness Centre rose upto whopping 1,923.23 lakhs.  The import of bulk drugs and active phamaceutical ingredients disrupted due to centre's serious action in countering COVID-19 pandemic.
