While spreading of new cases and falling pray to the coronavirus disease continue to be high, on a single day, appreciable recovery of patients of COVID-19 amounting to 28,472 have been cured and discharged from various healthcare establishments in the country. The cumulative recovery was 7,53,049, as a result recovery rate goes upto 63%.
The recovery numbers are compared to registered cases where the numbers are widened. There is no doubt that this is an encouraging trend while many states post recovery rate as higher than the national recovery rate.
In order to manage and control moderate COVID-19 cases, oxygen concentrators are imported from a Foundation Organisation from Singapore. While 20,000 concentrators are expected soon, much more will reach next month for onward distribution to other States and Union Territories. Providing low oxygen support with the help of these concentrators, the recovery will further go up and reduce active cases. The Oxygen Concentrators could be used at COVID-19 care centres and modified railway coaches to further reduce active cases.
