The country has reported 75,760 new cases in the past 24 hours thus making the total affected in the country crossing 33 lakhs mark today. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has stated that 56,013 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours based on data provided. The death toll goes up to 60,472 so far including 1,023 new deaths reported in a day.
More than 7 lakhs active cases are reported and treatment is being provided by various government hospitals, private hospitals, care centres and other places. More than 25 lakhs people have been given the needed treatment, cured fully and got discharged from various hospitals.
In Maharashtra, the death toll amounts to 23,089 with about 1.74 lakhs cases have been active and patients undergoing treatments at various stages in hospitals spread over the state.
The samples tested so far amounts to over 3.85 crores while 9.25 lakhs were tested on Wednesday. As informed by the Home Ministry, the recovery rate is encouraging with Delhi accounting 90% and Tamil Nadu shows the figure of 85% recovery rate.
