The recording of newly affected coronavirus cases has been on the surge on daily basis amidst various efforts by health department involving frontline workers. The Odisha Government has come out with an interesting method in reworking the price on RT-PCR COVID-19 test on patients. The Government has reduced the price of testing by private laboratories to Rs.1,200/- from Rs.2,200/-.
During the first week of July 2020, the Odisha Government has fixed the maximum price for RT-PCR COVID-19 test at Rs.2,200/-.
As informed by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Odisha has over 24,000 active cases and nearly 57,000 people have recovered.
The Government pleased to refix the maximum price for testing Rs.1,200/- at ICMR approved private laboratories for private individuals who decided for testing.
Let us expect the coronavirus outbreak to end soon to bring back normalcy.
