EMERGING AGAIN - CORONAVIRUS IN SINGAPORE

 








While various parts of the world reeling under infection caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is again in the country of Singapore emerging again among the foreign workers dormitories.  Clusters of coronavirus cases reported from the places where it was declared previously cleared of disease.

25 newly confirmed cases reported during investigations and when data released towards contact tracing.  Clusters reached the number of 12.  Despite testing, isolating and treating  community workers who pose high risk for a period of one month, the cases controlled to just in dozens.  Low paid labourers living in dorms account for 95% of the countries confirmed infections totalling to 57,000.  The dormitories were filled with more 3,00,000 people during the initial stages of coronavirus in April 2020.  The outbreak was brought under control even though the people who live in dorms gave a big threat to the virus infection.  

The standing operating procedure of wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing worked wondefully in containing at the dormitory centres.

Stay house notices have been issued to 4,800 workers on hearing cluster reports out of nearly 60 places.
