HIGH AND HIGH CASES - TEN STATES IN INDIA

 


Detection of coronavirus cases continue to be on the higher side and a few states account nearly 75% of the total affected cases.  The states and union territories account for Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Odisha, Chattisgarh and West Bengal.  The total number of cases nearing six milllion today by way of accounting 88,600 cases being recorded in the last 24 hours.  The death toll is close to 95,000 after claiming 1,124 cases very recently.

Maharashtra being the most affected state with over 13 lakhs cases infected while the death toll has crossed 35,000.  Andhra Pradesh is second to none with a worst hit record of coronavirus cases.  The total stands at 6.7 lakhs with the deaths reading at 5,663.

It is no difference with Tamil Nadu with about 5.75 lakhs recorded for infection while the death is alarmingly at 9,233.  The recovery here stands at 5.19 lakhs.  Karnataka state was affected with over 5.66 lakhs while death figures at 8,503.

Kerala being the least affected states in the initial stages, now accounted for nearly 1.7 lakhs cases.  Uttar Pradesh cases stands at 3.83 lakhs with over 5,500 people succumbed to the disease.  Odisha crosses 2 lakhs mark in affected cases while death is under control which stands at 783.

Delhi being capital city of the country found 2.68 lakhs getting affected by the coronavirus but the death toll here is more than five thousand and stands at 5,193.  West Bengal too records affected cases as 2.44 lakhs with nearly 5,000 deaths at present.  Chattisgarh crossing one lakhs mark by way of affected cases and death stands at 817.
