HIGH CASES - CORONAVIRUS IN MAHARASHTRA

 


Despite continuing efforts in containing the coronavirus, Maharashtra face still challenge and recording new cases of more than 500 cases in a single day for the second time.

The state's police department death toll gone upto 180 with cumulative standing at 17,972 cases as on Tuesday.  More than 1,50,000 cases have been recorded in Maharashtra in the first eighty days of September 2020.  While Thane city registers maximum number of fresh cases of COVID-19, Thane city police was also infected by coronavirus.  Other senior police officials who have also affected by coronavirus are Commissioner of police from Navi Mumbai, former additional director-general of police, Mumbai.  Recovered Mumbai police cases stands at 14,269 from th viral infection.

India recorded more than 4.3 million total cases and nearly 9 lakhs active cases.  An officer posted at the Hill Line police station in Thane city died of coronavirus.  Treatment was given in two separate hospitals, his condition deteriorated and died.  An head constable attached to Mulchera police station has also died of Covid-19 in Nagpur on Tuesday after treatment for nearly ten days.
