Foreign students studying in universities on online classes are being held up due to COVID-19 pandemic. This is the order issued by the US Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) and students are not allowed to stay in US. This has put many students in a fix and confused in the circle of Indian students Community in the US.
One of the New York based law firm is being run by former Lok Sabha MP from Nizamabad had informed that students already in the US were affected. It will be a worst case where students already have orders from universities in US who are yet to start the academic year. These students are a worried lot and level of anxiety goes up. Frantic calls pour in from students and parents regarding the status of their admission. The local body which is helping students informed that universities are expecting feedback via town halls with students on the next course of action. A draw back for students was that existing foreign students were offered their stay on campus itself but classes not held.
