LONG TIME SUSPENDED - INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS

 


Coronavirus pandemic continue to trouble all over putting the life into stringent testing conditions on already suffering people while everyone try to overcome so that the routine is brought back.  Amid the present situation, International flights already suspended to and from India from the month of March is being extended for another month which will be upto 31st October 2020.  These suspensions will not affect the cargo operations and specifically approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Upon release of fresh set of plans and guidelines under the latest unlock plan, the extended date of International flight operations announcement has been made.  Transport Bubble agreement signed by various countries arrived at for gradual movement of passenger traffic.  Countries like Bhutan and Kenya have been added to the list to places where Indians can fly.  This is with a view to bring the commercial passenger services as felt before the initial pandemic.  Air bubble arrangements are with countries like United States, Germany, France, UK, Afghan, Bhutan, Kenya, Canada, Bahrain , Maldives, Japan, etc.  Such arrangements with Kenya and Bhutan will be a boost to bilateral international air connectivity.  Indian carriers can fly to these countries and carriers of these countries can fly to India.  Scheduled International flight operations will continue to be suspended.  The average flight occupancy has been recorded for around 50%.
